SYNOPSIS

Santa Eugenia is a small abandoned village in the Pla de Mallorca. Sebastiana lives there: a 90-year-old woman suffering from senile dementia. The disease and its consequences make the protagonist and her family suffer. Sebastiana is the last of her generation, she feels terribly lonely and, due to the lack of memory, she constantly relives the losses of her closest relatives: her mother and her husband.

AUTHOR’S NOTE

A short film where spring is not the only thing that fades away

I have always missed death. Traffic accidents, tumors, common diseases, etc., but what happens when we manage to live our life? When we fulfill all our personal goals and objectives? When one manages to live 80 or 90 years?

All these questions were the starting point of a long ideation process. From them, we began to outline the project: an elderly Mallorcan woman who suffers from senile dementia and whose illness causes memory loss, depersonalization and derealization disorders, etc.
